Founded on September 22, 2020, Hope Foundation was established by a dedicated group of charity workers, including both nationals and refugees, with a shared mission to enhance the lives of refugees and local communities in Uganda.
As a women-led refugee organization, Hope Foundation focuses on several key areas:
- Education: We provide support with a particular emphasis on educating girls and young mothers.
- Functional Adult Literacy: Our programs empower local communities by improving literacy and educational opportunities for adults.
- Peaceful Co-existence: We work to foster harmony and understanding between refugees and host communities.
In recognition of our impactful work, Hope Foundation was honored as a global winner of the UNHCR Innovation Grant 2022 for our innovative protection ideas aimed at empowering women and girls among refugees and displaced persons.
Our commitment is to continue making a difference through our programs and partnerships, driving positive change and supporting those in need.
